  • Can't you reset the pose?

Can you reset the pose, such as reverting the pose for the first time, or moving the rotation?

  • #2
There is no such option, but you can copy-paste the original pose from the scene. Also, if you haven't done many changes, you can use Ctrl+Z to undo them.

Very useful feature, especially if you accidentally moved a few bones and noticed it late. I hope you will do it soon

Temporary solution: copy file with default pose and copy-paste needed bones from it

Another siimple way is to have a "initial pose" frame, and start the animation from the second frame onwards. You can copy that initial frame whenever you want to get back to it.

I really would appreciate such a function too! Something like in Blender: where you select the joints you want to reset to the initial restpose and use "Reset Pose" in the pose-menu.

A "reset pose" function is planned for the future. We can't tell you a date for it yet, but it will come.

Yes, the function is available now.

Here is how to do it:
1 - select the whole character (or just the part of the body you want to reset)
2 - change to Box Controller mode
3 - click the "Go to Default Pose" button in the "Objects" menu.

It may seem to be a bit uncomfortable, but we had to make it that way for scenes with more than one character.

The Objects menu no longer exists. The "Go to default Pose" command is now in the Command menu.

                      Thanks for the hint, Rontarrant!
(Since Cascadeur is still in development, such changes unfortunately cannot be avoided. We are sorry).

No worries, Tom. I've been there. My comment was meant to help keep information up to date.
